Unshakable: Christ, Culture, And The Call to Endure

A Series through the book of Hebrews

America’s culture has always been marked by social, political, and cultural turbulence — from shifting powers and presidential transitions to visible injustices, and the misuse of authority she continues to reveal her idols of power, nationalism, racial supremacy, violence, and wealth—producing a social climate shaking with fear, idolatry, and injustice.

In seasons like now — we stand on the good news that our hope is not built on what can be shaken. Instead we fix our eyes on King Jesus, the final Word of God, the great High Priest, and the better sacrifice. As systems tremble and structures fall, we anchor ourselves not in political saviors or cultural comforts, but in the unshakable kingdom of God.

Hebrews offers a vision of Jesus Christ as supreme over every voice, every system, and every shadow of religion. It calls the church to persevere in faith, to reject compromise, and to bear prophetic witness in the wilderness of empire as men women , sons and daughters, husbands and wives young and old of all nationalities. From its opening declaration that God has spoken through His Son to its closing call to endure for the joy set before us, Hebrews urges us to live in a way that reflects the reality of the kingdom we’ve inherited—a kingdom that cannot be shaken.

“Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, for our ‘God is a consuming fire.”

Hebrews 12:28–29
