Phoenix’s summer heat can be deadly. For many of our dear houseless brothers and sisters in Alhambra, a few hours in an air conditioned space could mean life or death. As a church, we believe that caring for these valuable and beautiful members of our community is not only our responsibility, but our privilege!
God used Moses with his rod, Fisherman and their nets, and the boy with 2 loaves and 5 fish. It is evident that God has given Alhambra Beloved Community MUCH, and we want to allow Him to use it to meet the needs of our people.
Here’s what we’re doing and how you can get involved:
Until July 25th, we’re opening up our gym every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday in June from 12-4pm to provide meals, fellowship, resources, and rest to those who need it.
We need support in three key ways:
1. DONATIONS
- Socks and/or underwear
- Towels
- Clothes (i.e. t-shirts and shorts)
- Food – potluck style dishes to serve and eat together
- Board games – drop them off or stay and play
