The Dawn Of Mercy
Wassup Beloved ! This fall, we begin a new journey through the Gospel of Luke.
Luke strategically tells the story of Jesus with beauty, depth, and compassion. In Luke, we meet Jesus the promised Savior who is also the King of Mercy filled with the Holy Spirit who comes near to the poor, the overlooked, the sick, the sinner, the outsider, the religious, the powerful, and the broken. Luke verifies and confirms the good news of Jesus is not small, private, or selective. It is good news for the whole person, the whole community, and the whole world.
This series will be spread across three years, with each year focusing on a different section of Luke. We will preach one part of Luke, then take a break diving into other books of the Bible, topics or themes that speak to our culture, and then return to Luke again the following year.
This first part begins on Sunday, August 23, 2026, and will focus on Luke chapters 1–8.

Through it all, Luke invites us to ask:
Who is this Jesus?
What kind of kingdom is He bringing?
Who is welcomed into His mercy?
What does it mean to follow Him?
How to Prepare
As we get ready for this journey, we invite you to begin reading the Gospel of Luke.
Some ways you can prepare:
- Spending time in prayer asking the lord to open the eyes of your heart to see his gospel with fresh lenses
- Read Luke chapters 1–8 slowly as a personal devotional..
- Reading sections to be preached in advance

- Coming each Sunday ready to listen, worship, and respond.
As we Journey through:
- Pay attention to who Jesus moves toward.
- Notice the role of the Holy Spirit.
- Ask… what does Luke show us about mercy, justice, forgiveness, faith, and the kingdom of God.
Our Prayer
Our prayer is that the spirit would move through the work of Luke helping us see Jesus more clearly, love Him more deeply, and follow Him more faithfully knowing with greater certainty the things we have been taught.
May we become a people shaped by the good news of Jesus—filled by his spirit, merciful, courageous, humble, and sent into the world with the love of Christ.
